The national police and the Sumy regional prosecutor's office filed an indictment against Yury Podolyaka, who left for Moscow in 2014 and became a popular pro-Russian military blogger after the outbreak of a full-scale war.

This is stated on the website of the Office of the Attorney General.
“In social networks, where he has a million-strong audience in Russia, the blogger calls himself the main speaker of the war. So far, he is disseminating information from the territory of the aggressor state. According to him, he helps the Russians "to mobilize and hold the information blow". Justifying the defeats of the military of the Russian Federation, he spreads the classic fakes of Russian propaganda," the prosecutor said.
The Office of the Prosecutor General does not indicate the name of the accused, but the message is illustrated with a photograph of Podoliaki.

The blogger will be tried in absentia for disseminating information containing justification of the armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine (part 3 of article 436-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). He faces five to eight years in prison.

It is known that the blogger began to gain popularity amid unrest in Kazakhstan, and then continued after the full-scale invasion of Russian troops in Ukraine. At the beginning of the year, his Telegram channel had 15,000 subscribers, and now it has more than 2.2 million. On YouTube, before the blocking, Podolyaka had more than 3.5 million subscribers.
