Since the end of February, 163 people have died in the workplace as a result of hostilities in Ukraine

Since the beginning of the full-scale war in Ukraine, 555 employees of enterprises have suffered in the course of their work duties, 163 of them have died.

This was reported in the Social Insurance Fund.
“Since the beginning of the war, 555 workers injured as a result of hostilities have been recorded at Ukrainian enterprises (+6 in the last week). Of these, 163 Ukrainians were killed during the performance of labor duties due to the armed aggression of Russia,” the report says.
Most of the victims among employees of enterprises were registered in Kyiv - 97, of which 32 were fatally injured. In the Nikolaev region - 69 victims, 26 of whom died, in the Dnipropetrovsk region - 53 and 11, respectively, in the Donetsk region - 52 and 10, in the Kharkiv region - 46 and nine.

Military personnel, policemen, ordinary and commanding staff of internal affairs bodies, bodies and civil protection units of the State Emergency Service, etc. were not included in the information on the number of victims.

For each case of injury or death of Ukrainian workers as a result of the Russian invasion, work is organized to investigate.

The fund assured that all employees who suffered during the work as a result of hostilities are provided with insurance payments and medical and social services.

Also, one-time cash benefits and monthly insurance payments are intended for family members of deceased workers.
