According to the materials of the SBU, three Russian servicemen were suspected of using torture against Ukrainians in the Chernihiv region.

This was reported by the Security Service of Ukraine.
"During the period of temporary occupation of the villages of Vishnevoe, Sloboda and Lukashevka, suspects in a group with other Russian military men broke into the houses of civilians and, threatening to be shot, demanded information about the location of the personnel and equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Having received no answer, the invaders gave orders to their subordinates to mock people and directly took part in this, ”the message says.
According to one of the victims, Russian servicemen beat him with weapons and metal objects, threatened to kill his wife and son, then poured three bottles of flammable liquid on him and threatened to set him on fire.

The criminals held another victim in frosty weather in an unheated warehouse, where he was mocked and beaten. His elderly mother was kept by the invaders in the cargo compartment of the car. Also, the invaders took away the car from the man and used it to transport property stolen from local residents.

The ill-treatment of the invaders with the civilian population in the occupied territories is confirmed by numerous eyewitness accounts and victims who identified war criminals from photographs.

The persons involved in the proceedings were notified in absentia of suspicion under Part 2 of Art. 28h. 1 st. 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (violation of the laws and customs of war, that is, cruel treatment of the civilian population in the occupied territory by prior conspiracy of a group of persons). The identities of other servicemen of the Russian Federation involved in the commission of crimes against the civilian population of Ukraine are being established.

Documentation of illegal activities was carried out by investigators of the SBU under the procedural guidance of the Chernihiv Regional Prosecutor's Office.
