On July 21, in the Donetsk region, the Russian army launched a missile attack on the central market of the city of Bakhmut.

This was announced by the head of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration Pavel Kirilenko.

The building of the Astron shopping center (right wing, Prostor store) and the shopping center Lilia received heavy damage. From the explosion of the ammunition, a huge crater was formed in front of the shopping center Lilia, and glass was broken in neighboring buildings.
 
"As a result of the GNP hit, several trading containers ignited on a total area of 100 sq. m. Information about the dead and injured is being specified. At present, the fire is localized and completely eliminated," the State Emergency Service said.
