A fire broke out at the Kremenchug CHPP during the demolition of rubble - the remnants of grease are burning.

The mayor of Kremenchug Vitaliy Maletsky announced this on Telegram.
"During the dismantling of rubble at the thermal power plant, the remains of grease and construction debris ignited. The units of the State Emergency Service are working to eliminate the fire. There are no data on the victims. The cause of the fire is under investigation," the official said.
As reported, on April 24, the Russians shelled the Kremenchug thermal power plant and the Kremenchug oil refinery.

After that, the situation with the heating of apartments became problematic, in connection with which the head of the Poltava OVA Dmitry Lunin reported that they would try to restore the Kremenchug CHPP by the beginning of the heating season, but urged the townspeople to look for alternative sources of heat. CHP, in case of restoration, will operate at minimum capacity.
