The former deputy head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense is suspected of treason

The former deputy head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine was notified of suspicion of high treason, as well as an encroachment on the life of a law enforcement officer and illegal possession of weapons.

This was reported by the Office of the Prosecutor General and the speaker of the Security Service of Ukraine Artem Dekhtyarenko.
"SBU officers detained a suspect at the beginning of a full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation. During searches at the place of work, he tried to shoot representatives of the SBU investigative group. A former high-ranking official used a Makarov combat pistol against law enforcement officers,” Dekhtyarenko said.
Dekhtyarenko noted that the detainee was deputy chairman of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense in 2008-2010, then he worked in various positions in this department and in the leadership of the State Space Agency of Ukraine. Probably, we are talking about Vyacheslav Onisk.

According to the investigation, the man passed secret and absolutely secret information about the current military-political situation in our state to the Russian special services.

In addition, he forwarded information to the invaders from the bodies of the Ministry of Defense, the Main Directorate of Intelligence, the National Academy of the Ground Forces. P. Sahaydachny, aviation and military-industrial state enterprises on the activities of the latter, as well as undercover communications of the special services of Ukraine in the temporarily occupied territory.

Currently, the detainee has been selected as a measure of restraint in the form of detention. As part of the criminal proceedings, investigative actions are ongoing to establish all the circumstances of the exposed offenses.
