Zelensky rebuked Israel for the lack of sanctions against Russia

The head of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, has criticized the Israeli government for not imposing sanctions against Russia.
He stated this at an online speech to students of the Hebrew University in Jerusalem.
“Unfortunately, we have not yet seen Israel join the international sanctions regime. When governments impose sanctions on Russia, it's not about money or business. It's about values and general safety.. Japan, Australia and many other countries have already joined the sanctions, as well as many European countries are working with us against Russian aggression. We are very grateful for the humanitarian aid and medicines. We feel that your society understands the situation, but we have no real contact with your government,” he added.
In Russia's war against Ukraine, Israel, unlike many Western countries, took a relatively neutral position.. Jerusalem does not impose tough sanctions against Russia and does not provide Ukraine with weapons. At the same time, Foreign Minister Yair Lapid openly condemned Russia's actions, and the address of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to the Israeli people was broadcast on a large screen in the main square of Tel Aviv. In April, Israel began sending humanitarian aid with medicines and food to Ukraine via an air bridge.
