16:59 26 August Kyiv, Ukraine

The Zaporozhye nuclear power plant is connected to the grid and produces electricity for the needs of Ukraine. So far, there are no comments on security systems.

This was reported by the press service of NNEGC "Energoatom".

As they say in the message, today at 14:04 it was possible to connect to the network one of the ZNPP power units stopped yesterday. Now comes the power up.
“Nuclear workers of Zaporozhye NPP are real heroes! They tirelessly and firmly hold on their shoulders the nuclear and radiation safety of Ukraine and all of Europe and work selflessly so that their native country has life-giving electricity, ” Energoatom adds..
There are no comments on the operation of equipment and security systems.

Recall that the day before, due to fires at the ash dumps of the Zaporizhzhya TPP, located next to the Zaporizhzhya NPP, the last (fourth) communication line of the Zaporozhye NPP with the energy system of Ukraine, the Dniprovska line, was disconnected twice.

Three other communication lines were previously damaged during enemy shelling. As a result, two operating power units of the station were disconnected from the network.. Thus, the occupiers caused the complete disconnection of the Zaporizhzhya NPP from the power grid - the first in the history of the plant.
