IDPs from Crimea are eligible for cash assistance

Internally displaced persons from the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol are entitled to cash benefits on an equal basis with other migrants.

This was reported by the Ministry for the Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories.

The department stressed that people who have moved from the temporarily occupied territory (in particular, the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol) are entitled to financial assistance from the state; from territorial communities located in the area of military (combat) operations or being surrounded (blocked). As well as citizens whose housing was destroyed or uninhabitable as a result of damage due to the armed aggression of the Russian Federation and who filed an application for compensation for the corresponding losses before May 20, 2022.
