Ukroboronprom enterprises have launched the production of 22-mm and 152-mm and 120-mm shells, Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov said.
“Today, the production of 122-mm and 152-mm and 120-mm mines has been launched by Ukroboronprom and, accordingly, its enterprises. I hope that within a few months they will realistically increase their volumes. There are already obligations. We have already tested their products, and they work and will work on the battlefield," the official said.
Ukraine currently does not plan to produce 155 mm caliber ammunition for modern artillery systems, the head of the Defense Ministry added.
"So far, as of today, we are not setting up the production of 155-caliber guns for modern NATO-standard artillery platforms. We hope that we will receive this support from partners. But we have one Ukrainian 155-caliber gun mount Bogdan. She passed her first test. We have a direct dialogue with manufacturers. And if the development of this 155-mm artillery system continues, then, accordingly, the production of ammunition will also be established for it.. So far, we have enough 155-caliber shells from our partners," Reznikov summed up.
