Protests of those mobilized due to non-payments began in Russia - IWS

Tensions are rising in Russian society due to non-payment of the promised money to the mobilized Russians.

This is in a summary for November 2, according to the American Institute for the Study of War (IWS).

Russians in social networks report numerous rallies at which the mobilized protest and demand the promised money.

A similar protest was recorded in Ulyanovsk, as well as in Chuvashia, where a local Russian official yelled at mobilized protesters that the authorities had not promised them a payment of 300,000 rubles.

The families of the mobilized publicly complained to the governor of the Voronezh region, Alexander Guseev, that they had not received the promised compensation of 120,000 rubles.

IWS analysts point out that the Kremlin needs to find money and keep paying what it has promised to maintain control over society and some semblance of morale among mobilized Russians.
