This week the UN Security Council will meet twice because of the situation in Ukraine.

 
On Tuesday, September 6, the UN Security Council, at the request of the Russian Federation, will consider the situation at the ZNPP, and on Wednesday, September 7, the United States and Albania convene the Security Council due to the deportation of Ukrainian citizens by the Russian Federation.

According to the Secretariat of the Security Council, the speech of the IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi is expected, who will present a report on the situation at the ZNPP and tell about the mission of the atomic energy agency experts to the station. The meeting will begin at 3:00 pm ET (22:00 Kyiv time).

On Wednesday, September 7, at the request of the United States and Albania, the Security Council will meet to discuss the forced deportation of Ukrainian citizens by Russia.. The meeting is also scheduled for 15:00 (22:00 Kyiv time).
 
"The Russian delegation traditionally tries to use the Republic of Belarus as a platform for spreading false narratives and disinformation, accusing the Armed Forces of Ukraine of attacks on the occupied ZNPP, which is regularly shelled by Russian troops," the report says.

Before that, at the request of Russia, the UN Security Council discussed the situation at the ZNPP on August 11 and 23.
