Ukraine will receive another batch of HIMARS from the US

The United States will provide Ukraine with a new military aid package that will include a batch of HIMARS multiple launch rocket systems and their ammunition.

 
This was stated by the coordinator for strategic communications of the US National Security Council in the White House John Kirby at a briefing on Tuesday, July 19.

According to him, the corresponding announcement will be made in the near future.
 
"Later this week, the administration of President Joe Biden will announce the next package of weapons and equipment for Ukraine.. This will be the sixteenth such disbursement in support of Ukraine since the President took office.. The package will include more highly mobile modern HIMARS missile systems, which the Ukrainians are using very effectively," Kirby said.

According to media reports, the mentioned package of American military aid is estimated at $700 million.

Earlier, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny, during a conversation with the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the United States, General Mark Milley, said that an important factor contributing to the retention of defense lines and positions by the defenders of Ukraine is the timely arrival of M142 HIMARS.
