Ukraine starts exporting grain, but security control is up to partners - Zelensky

11:30 25 July Kyiv, Ukraine

President Volodymyr Zelensky confirmed that Ukraine has done everything in its power to start exporting grain, but Turkey and the UN should exercise control over compliance with the implementation of the agreements, in particular by Russia.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced this at a press conference with President of Guatemala Alejandro Giammatea.

“We, I think, will definitely start exports in order to once again prove to the whole world that it is not Ukraine that is blocking exports ... As for security, let the partners look,” he said.

Zelensky recalled that Russia immediately became a violator of the agreements, the military of which hit the Odessa port after the signing of documents in Istanbul. On the part of Ukraine, everything is ready for the start of exports.

"We have done everything, prepared. On our side there is a corridor. Ukraine controls everything in our waters. Checks in our waters will only be done by Ukraine... And then the question of the United Nations and Turkey is how much they can control the Russian Federation, which has shown that it can fire missiles even after agreements," he said.
