Today, June 28, the UN Security Council will meet for an emergency meeting in connection with the latest Russian missile strikes on Ukraine, including on a shopping center in Kremenchug.

At the Ukrainian request, the meeting was convened by Albania chairing the UN Security Council.
“Due to the severity of the barbaric missile strikes by the Russian terrorist state, Ukraine requested the Security Council to hold a meeting on the agenda item “Maintaining peace and security in Ukraine”. Fascist Russia and all those involved will eventually be punished,” said Ukraine’s permanent representative to the UN Serhiy Kislitsa.
The last meeting on Ukraine took place on June 21. Representatives made statements about the causes of the war, including the role that propaganda and hate speech in Russia played in its resolution.

Recall that on the afternoon of June 27, Russia launched a missile attack on a shopping and entertainment center in Kremenchug, Poltava region.. According to the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, the center worked, there were about a thousand people in it. A strong fire started from a rocket hit, which could be localized only by midnight. The rubble is being sorted out, the exact number of dead is not yet known. On Tuesday morning, the death of 18 people was established, it was also previously reported that 21 wounded were hospitalized, dozens of people are considered missing.
