Russian forces in eastern Kherson region vulnerable to Ukrainian "interception campaign". This was announced by the American Institute for the Study of War (ISW) in a November 17 report.

It is noted that several large communication lines pass through the eastern part of the Kherson region: the T2202 New Kakhovka-Armyansk, P47 Kakhovka-Genichesk and M14 routes going east to Melitopol, Berdyansk and Mariupol.

"Satellite imagery indicates that Russian forces are in defensive positions along some of these critical lines, and social media posts indicate that Ukrainian strikes have already begun to damage Russian staging areas and military installations along these routes," the military said. analytics.

They believe that the limited number of quality roads and railways in the area, especially those connecting Crimea to the mainland, creates potential vulnerabilities that could be accessible to Ukrainian attacks.

It is emphasized that this will gradually reduce the ability of Russia to supply the group in the eastern part of the Kherson region and other areas of southern Ukraine.

"Ukrainian forces are likely to find it harder to achieve such dramatic results in the eastern part of the Kherson region, but they may be able to thwart Russian efforts to strengthen and hold their new defensive lines," the ISW concluded.
