Air defense managed to shoot down most of the Russian drones that attacked Ukraine at night

As the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported on May 13, during the night attack, the Russian aggressors sent Iranian-made Shahed-136/131 strike UAVs to the territory of Ukraine in the northern and southern directions. Air defense units managed to shoot down most of the drones.

"A total of 21 launches were recorded. 17 loitering ammunition was destroyed in different directions using anti-aircraft missile weapons, fighters, mobile fire groups. Unfortunately, there is a hit by enemy drones on infrastructure facilities in the Khmelnytsky region. Local authorities and services are working," the statement said.

In addition, an operational-tactical UAV Orlan-10 was destroyed at night. And yesterday, air defense shot down four attack drones of the Lancet type.

"Tactical aircraft of the Air Force made dozens of sorties to engage the enemy with fire and fighter air cover," the military added.

Earlier it became known that all enemy drones were destroyed in the Kyiv region. At the same time, the wreckage of a downed drone damaged a residential building in the Kyiv region.
