Poland monitors the border with Belarus

Mariusz Blashak said that the country is monitoring the situation on the border with Belarus.

He said this in an interview with Rzeczpospolita.

According to him, despite the full-scale war of Russia against Ukraine, Poland constantly monitors the border with Belarus. He recalled the situation with migrants on the Polish-Belarusian border, calling it a special operation, "testing the strength and ability to defend the state."

"The decision to build a wall on the border was important, and we managed to repel this hybrid attack. If there were no barrier, the masses would move through Poland, and we would be in danger of destabilizing the situation in the country. Now the border is tight, although groups of illegal migrants are still trying to cross it," the minister said.

Blashchak stressed that the effectiveness of building a wall on the border with Belarus is shown by the fact that Finland and Estonia also want to strengthen the border with Russia by building a fence on the sites.
