The Pentagon believes HIMARS influenced the course of the war in Ukraine

The US M142 HIMARS missile systems have begun to have a significant impact on the course of Russia's war against Ukraine, the US Department of Defense said at a briefing.

"Everyone sees that the advance and offensive of the Russians have slowed down. It is hard to believe that this has nothing to do with the loss of ammunition or the loss of someone who would command them," the spokesman said.

The Pentagon noted that the Armed Forces of Ukraine are striking at ammunition depots, command posts and control centers of the Russian occupiers.

"All this directly affects the ability to conduct frontline operations.. So although they don't fire HIMARS on the front lines, they have a very big impact," the US Department of Defense said.
