The Ministry of Energy presented projects in various sectors of the Ukrainian energy

The Minister of Energy of Ukraine, during the Conference on the Reconstruction of Ukraine in Lugano, presented investment projects in the Ukrainian energy sectors worth over $120 billion.

This was announced on Tuesday, July 5, by the press service of the Ministry of Energy.
According to him, one of the most promising areas in the energy system of Ukraine is nuclear power, which produces an average of about 60% of all electricity in the country.
"We strive to develop nuclear energy. It is very important that even during the war, in this difficult period, there are companies ready to invest in Ukraine right now.. We have agreements with Westinghouse that provide for the construction of 9 new nuclear power units using AP1000 technology in the near future," the minister said.
Galushchenko clarified that two units at the Khmelnytsky NPP with a total capacity of 2 GW should be built first. The expected investment in this project is $14 billion.

In addition, the Ministry of Energy and the American Westinghouse signed agreements to expand supplies, as well as the production of nuclear fuel.
