Malyar and Syrsky spoke about the situation in Bakhmut

The Russian army is concentrating air assault detachments to the outskirts of Bakhmut, the command of the Russian Federation has not abandoned the goal of capturing the city.

This was announced on Telegram by Deputy Defense Minister Anna Malyar.

She noted that in the past few days, Ukrainian troops have been advancing on the Bakhmut front.
"This is all thanks to the superpowers and professionalism of our military. In Bakhmut and on the outskirts, everything is difficult now," Malyar stressed.
The commander of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Colonel-General Alexander Syrsky, called the advance of the Defense Forces in the Bakhmut direction the first successful offensive in the course of the operation to defend Bakhmut.
"The last few days have shown that we can move forward and destroy the enemy even in such extremely difficult conditions.. We fight with less resources than the enemy. At the same time, we manage to destroy his plans," Syrsky was quoted as saying by the Military Media Center.
The commander added that this was only a partial success, the operation to defend Bakhmut continues, the Ukrainian command has taken "all the decisions necessary for the defense": "All possible scenarios for the development of events, we worked out with the commanders right on the battlefield."
