Experts from the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) at the request of Kyiv will inspect two nuclear facilities in Ukraine against the backdrop of Russia's statements about the development of Ukraine's "dirty bomb". A month ago, one of these places was already inspected and no nuclear activity was found there.

This was stated by IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi, according to the agency's official website.

Grossi confirmed that both nuclear facilities are under IAEA safeguards and are regularly visited by the organization's inspectors.
"The IAEA checked one of these places a month ago and all of our findings were consistent with Ukraine's safeguards declarations.. Neither undeclared nuclear activity nor materials were recorded there," the agency's director general said.
At the same time, the purpose of the announced visits of IAEA inspectors is also to identify any possible undeclared nuclear activity.
