French leader Emmanuel Macron had a telephone conversation with the President of Ukraine on Monday over reports of new attacks on the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant.

He said this during a speech in Paris at an international conference in support of Moldova, writes Le Figaro.

"With every military victory for Ukraine, the recapture of the Kharkiv region, and the return of Kherson, Russia responds with new shelling of Ukraine's critical infrastructures," Macron said.

The French President on Sunday held talks with IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi about the situation with the Zaporozhye power plant.

The enemy shelling of the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant on November 19 and 20 was called one of the most intense by the IAEA.
