Canadian Defense Minister Anita Anand announced that Canada and Latvia will conduct joint training of Ukrainian officers on the territory of Latvia.

The main goal of the program is to develop the leadership qualities of the military personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Training will begin on May 15 and will include courses on battlefield responsibility, planning and issuing orders, maneuver coordination, intelligence gathering, and other tasks..

It is worth noting that this is not Canada's first experience in training the Ukrainian military - more than 36,000 people have already been covered by such training.

However, thanks to the new program, Canada is preparing even more qualified military for Ukraine.
