Head of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine Viktor Lyashko was elected to the WHO Executive Board

At the session of the WHO European Committee, which took place in Tel Aviv on Wednesday, September 14, the head of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, Viktor Lyashko, was elected to the WHO Executive Board.

 
This was reported by the Embassy of Ukraine in Israel.

In addition, First Deputy Minister of Health Alexander Komarid was elected to the Standing Committee of the WHO European Committee.
 
"It should be noted that for the first time in history Ukraine was elected to the Executive Council - the governing body of the WHO, which is a recognition of the contribution of our state to the activities of this international organization," the message says.
