The leader of the so-called "DPR" Denis Pushilin said that the militants were going to illegally "judge" 23 Ukrainian soldiers from the Azov regiment.

According to Pushilin, for the first stage of the tribunal, preparations for which are already being completed, materials on 80 episodes of the alleged crimes of "Azov" are fully prepared.
"23 people have already been arrested and are in other places, " says the leader of the militants.
In total, more than 1,300 criminal proceedings were opened in the Russian Federation against more than 400 Ukrainian prisoners, including at least 220 people suspected of committing "crimes against the peace and security of mankind." Russia's attempts to try them are not a war crime.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky reacted to this statement.
“Now there are enough reports in the media that the scenery is being prepared in Mariupol for an absolutely disgusting and absurd trial of Ukrainian defenders, of our soldiers who are captured by the invaders… If this vile trial happens, if our people are in violation of all agreements, all international rules, lead into these scenery, there will be a mockery ... This will be the line along which any negotiations are impossible. Russia will cut itself off from negotiations. There will be no more talk. Our state has said everything,” he said.
