The process of de-occupation of the Luhansk region may begin after the liberation of the city of Liman, Donetsk region.

This was stated by the head of the Luhansk OVA Serhiy Gaidai on Monday, September 12.

"After the final de-occupation of Liman, we will take over the baton. De-occupation is close. Hear the approach of hostilities - stay in cover! We cannot name the settlements, but the locals will understand me," he wrote in Telegram.

According to him, the Russian invaders, in anticipation of the offensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, loot, get drunk and prepare to flee.

"Where the partisans raised Ukrainian flags, they are still in place. The occupiers and collaborators do not dare to remove them," Gaidai said.

The head of the OVA added that local authorities are already holding meetings and are preparing to restore the life of the communities.

It should be noted that information about the beginning of the battles for Liman appeared last week in parallel with the counteroffensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Kharkiv region. The fighting for the city continues for several days.
