09:56 10 November Kyiv, Ukraine

The UK will soon complete the delivery of approximately 1,000 additional surface-to-air missiles to the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
This was stated by the Minister of Defense of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland Ben Wallace, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported.
"This was in response to Ukraine's requests for increased air defense capabilities and the missiles will play a vital role in providing Ukraine's air defense and protecting its critical infrastructure, which is constantly being targeted by Russia," the statement said.
Missiles can be used in combination with the means of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The equipment consists of launchers and missiles and is capable of shooting down air targets, including Russian drones and cruise missiles.
"This commitment to provide hundreds more surface-to-air missiles continues our defense support for Ukraine against Russian aggression and will help Ukraine counter the threat of unlawful destruction of critical national infrastructure," Wallace said.
The announcement comes after British Defense Secretary Ben Wallace visited two training centers on 9 November where more than 7,400 Ukrainian recruits were trained by the UK Armed Forces along with eight partner countries.. There, Wallace, in particular, met with NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg.

Now 1900 Ukrainian recruits are in the UK and are being trained and will soon return to Ukraine. Upon completion of their training, they are provided with items including combat clothing, body armor and hearing protection, waterproof clothing and sleeping bags. Recruits are also issued a fully stocked individual first aid kit after being trained in the use of tourniquets, field dressings and occlusive dressing.

Recruits now leaving the UK will receive extreme cold weather kits. Prime Minister of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland Rishi Sunak announced this on November 9.. In particular, we are talking about 25,000 sets of clothing for extreme cold, 20,000 sleeping bags and 150 isothermal tents.
“This announcement was made in response to requests from Ukrainians for additional cold weather equipment.. Ukrainian troops continue to fight to liberate their country from Russian troops as winter quickly approaches, when temperatures can drop to minus 20 °C and below in some parts of the country,” the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said.
Sturdy sleeping bags and roll-on mats, combined with living quarters heating and personal winter clothing, will help prevent cold-related injuries and enable troops to operate effectively and efficiently.
“We have equipped more than 9,000 Ukrainian recruits with the necessary personal protective equipment, in particular, helmets, body armor and tactical vests, to help them fight Russian aggression.. The efforts to support this from the entire logistics community have been very impressive and big things,” said Brigadier General Justin Stenhouse, Commander of Basic Ukrainian Recruit Training in the UK.
He added that the Ukrainian recruits, many of whom have little to no military experience, "have shown exemplary courage, resilience and a willingness to learn, which is very pleasing to watch.". According to him, "the instructors did an excellent job of teaching the recruits how to live and fight using the new equipment and turning them from civilians to soldiers in just five weeks."
