In the coming days, the UN mission will leave for Yelenovka

In the coming days, members of the mission to investigate the death of 53 prisoners of war in the colony in Yelenovka will go to Ukraine.

This was stated by UN Under-Secretary-General for Political Affairs Rosemary DiCarlo.

General Carlos dos Santos Cruz of Brazil has been appointed mission leader. It also included the politician from Iceland, Ingibjerg Solrun Gisladottir, and the representative of Niger, Issouf Yakouba.
"The mission must be able to carry out its work unhindered and have safe, secure and unhindered access to people, places and evidence, " the deputy secretary general said.
