Ukrainians were three times more likely to get married than divorced during a full-scale war

Almost three times more marriages than divorces were entered in the State Register of Civil Status of Citizens during March-October 2022, the Ministry of Justice reported.
"By the way, a positive trend can also be seen when comparing the data of 2022 and 2021," the Ministry of Justice added.
During March-October 2022, 169,775 newlywed couples got married, which is 6,131 more than in the same period of 2021.
And the number of divorces during the eight months of the full-scale invasion was 56,974, almost 22,000 less than in the same period last year.

Recall that in Ukraine for the first six months of 2022, a record number of marriages were registered - 103,903. This is 21% more than in the same period in 2021, and an absolute record for the last seven years.
