Ukrainians in Poland can get a digital residence permit, similar to the documents in "Die"

Ukrainians in Poland can obtain a digital residence permit Diia.pl in the Polish application mObywatel, said Minister of Digital Transformation Mikhail Fedorov.

This is a digital document, similar to the documents already familiar to Ukrainians in "Die". It could be obtained by our citizens on the basis of their PESEL number (Polish identification number) and confirm their identity. For 5 months, more than 80,000 Ukrainians have used such a digital document, Mikhail Fedorov added.
 
And now the Diia.pl document has received the official status of the first digital residence permit.

To obtain a digital residence permit you need:
  • You can get a digital document if you crossed the Polish-Ukrainian border after February 24, 2022
  • There is a PESEL number (with the stamp "Osoba o statusie UKR").
  • You have a username and password in a trusted profile.
  • Phone with Android (6.0 or higher) or iOS (13.0 and higher).
  • Internet access.
“This means that a digital document in the myObywatel application can be used not only to verify identity, but also to cross the border, receive government services and in all life situations where it is needed,” Fedorov wrote.
