A teenager sold his idol's T-shirt to help ZSU

To help the Armed Forces of Ukraine, 14-year-old teenager Volodymyr Romanchuk from Ivano-Frankivsk sold a game T-shirt of his idol Cristiano Ronaldo at a charity auction.

The lot went under the hammer for 70,000 hryvnias, the team of the Save Ukraine Now Coordination Center said.

The T-shirt also has an autograph of the famous Portuguese footballer-striker and five-time winner of the Golden Ball in the qualification match for Euro 2022 between the national teams of Portugal and Ukraine, which took place on March 22, 2019 in Lisbon.

Thus, Vladimir wanted to contribute to the victory. The collected funds will be used to purchase medicines for the Ukrainian military. In particular, for the needs of territorial defense and soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine from the Carpathians.

Ruslan Kariy, who lives in the USA, became the winner of the charity auction. According to Save Ukraine Now, the man has repeatedly won charity auctions in support of the Ukrainian military.

Cristiano Ronaldo himself commented on the fan's act. The football player hopes that the sale of the T-shirt will also help Ukraine in the fight for a happy future.
"I hope that my jersey from the match with Ukraine 2019 will help young people find a better future. I would like to congratulate the Ukrainian Football Association on such an action. I pray for peace," Ronaldo said.
