The army of Serbia, on December 26, was put on high alert. This was stated by the country's Minister of Defense Milos Vucevic, Serbian media reported.
"The President, as Commander-in-Chief, ordered tonight that the Serbian Armed Forces be at the highest level of combat readiness, that is, readiness for the level of use," Vucevic said.
At the same time, he noted that "this raises the country to the highest level of action of the Serbian military."
