The maximum level of the threat of terrorist attacks was introduced at the Moscow airports of Sheremetyevo, Domodedovo and Vnukovo. This was reported by the media on Wednesday, November 16, citing a letter from Rostransnadzor to airlines and airports.
"To establish from 00:00 on November 10, 2022, the direct degree of threat of committing an act of unlawful interference in the activities of the transport complex, which is of a terrorist nature," the document says.
Rostransnadzor notified that airports must now take additional security measures.

It is noted that the screening of passengers will now be carried out longer, and luggage will be checked more carefully.
"Passengers need to prepare for possible queues at checkpoints," the newspaper writes.
Due to the "threat of terrorist attacks," stewards of airliners departing from airports must show increased attention to the behavior of passengers on board the aircraft, increase vigilance and strictly fulfill their duties. Also, crew members need to inspect all glove compartments, niches and lockers in the toilet rooms, carts and semi-carts, containers, service compartments, niches with life jackets.
