Gas prices in Europe continue to rise

On Monday, August 22, the cost of gas in Europe exceeded the level of 2900 dollars per thousand cubic meters at the auction.

Thus, at the TTF hub in the Netherlands, the gas price reached $2,928 per thousand cubic meters.

Last week, the cost of gas in the European market increased by more than $500. At the same time, the injection of gas into European storage facilities is proceeding according to the schedule.

Price growth accelerated after Gazprom announced a complete halt in supplies via Nord Stream 1 from August 31 to September 2 due to the repair of the only gas compressor unit remaining in operation.
