The Latvian authorities approved the allocation of additional military assistance to Ukraine.

This was announced on July 28 by the head of the country's Ministry of Defense, Artis Pabriks, on Twitter.
"This morning, the government of Latvia supported the initiative of the Latvian Ministry of Defense to provide additional military assistance to Ukraine," he said.
According to the Delfi portal, the decision was made at a closed meeting on Thursday. The Ministry of Defense did not specify what kind of support will be provided to the Ukrainians.

It is noted that since the Russian invasion of Ukraine, the Latvian government has discussed the provision of assistance to the Armed Forces of Ukraine several times in closed meetings.

In total, Riga has allocated more than 200 million euros worth of weapons and personal equipment, unmanned aerial vehicles, dry rations, ammunition, anti-tank weapons and Stinger anti-aircraft missile systems to Kyiv.
