American businessman Elon Musk (Tesla, SpaceX) will still complete the deal to acquire the social network Twitter for $44 billion, writes Reuters.
According to him, the acquisition of Twitter will accelerate the creation of "app X for everything."
The proposal to resume talks comes ahead of a court hearing between Musk and Twitter that was scheduled to take place on October 17 in Delaware.
According to Reuters, the owners of the social network have already received a letter from Musk with a proposal to close the deal, but it is not yet known whether Twitter agreed.
Recall that at the end of April it became known that Elon Musk is buying the social network Twitter for $44 billion.. He stated that he wants to make Twitter better: add new features, make the algorithms "open" to the audience, and also overcome spam bots.
However, already in July, Musk announced that he was refusing the deal due to the “large declared number of bots on Twitter”. The social network claims that they delete one million spam accounts daily and make up less than 5% of the active user base.
