This was announced by the representative of Diageo.
“We have made the difficult decision to gradually reduce commercial activity in Russia. We expect this process to take approximately six months, during which we will remain focused on supporting our employees, including providing them with an expanded compensation package in full compliance with Russian law, ”a company representative said.
Now the products of Diageo, which is the world's largest producer of premium alcohol, are supplied to 70,000 stores and 19,000 restaurants and bars in Russia. Since March, the company has been selling off its remaining stocks in Russia.

Since the beginning of the war in Ukraine, dozens of the world's largest companies have either left Russia altogether, or reduced or suspended their activities.. Heineken announced it was pulling out of the Russian market in March, and like Carlsberg, the Belgian concern Anheuser-Busch InBev decided to sell its non-controlling stake in the AB InBev Efes joint venture in Russia in April.
