European manufacturers of equipment for the pharmaceutical industry stopped supplying spare parts to Russia

A number of European manufacturers of equipment for the pharmaceutical industry, whose products are not subject to sanctions, refused to supply to Russia, in particular, such a decision was made by the German companies Syntegon and GEA.

Because of this, there may be problems with the release of new drugs.

Experts argue that the Russian pharmaceutical industry is not ready for this problem, the Russian Federation practically does not produce modern equipment for the pharmaceutical industry, and the state program "Pharma-2020" has not pushed its own production of medicines.
 
In the near future, Russian pharmaceutical companies may begin to have problems with the maintenance of production equipment. At the same time, it will be very problematic to introduce new drugs into production without imported equipment components.
 
There is no hope for parallel imports permitted by the Russian government in this matter.
“It is impossible to supply spare parts through third countries, since each of them is produced for a specific manufacturer and has a unique number,” market participants emphasize.
