Finance Minister Sergei Marchenko and World Bank Regional Director for Eastern Europe (Belarus, Moldova and Ukraine) Arup Banerjee signed an agreement to provide Ukraine with a $4.5 billion grant.

Minister Serhiy Marchenko thanked the government of the United States of America and the World Bank team for their long-term cooperation, financial support and solidarity with Ukraine.
"These grant funds are another significant contribution to financing urgent needs for our country.. This will allow us to continue to provide wages, social and pension payments and benefits for internally displaced persons in the fight against the aggressor," he said during the signing of the agreement.
The Ministry explained that the raised grant funds from the Multi-Donor Trust Fund in the amount of $4.5 billion will be used to provide pension payments and certain state social assistance programs, such as payment for housing and communal services, support for low-income families, children with disabilities and people with disabilities.. since childhood, IDPs, as well as to pay for medical services under the program of medical guarantees, etc.
