Refugees will continue to receive housing subsidies in Ukraine - Cabinet of Ministers

The Cabinet of Ministers clarified the procedure for obtaining subsidies for payment of housing and communal services. Citizens who have gone abroad because of the war will be able to receive subsidies for their housing in Ukraine.

This is stated in Resolution No. 1041 of September 16, 2022.

According to the legislation, previously, a housing subsidy was not assigned to those people who were abroad for a total of more than 60 days.

This period abroad does not include the days of a business trip, treatment, education or care for a child before the age of 3 years abroad, if this is confirmed by the relevant documents.

Now the government has added to this item the stay abroad during the war.. Therefore, the 60-day period does not include days spent abroad during martial law in Ukraine and two months after its termination or cancellation.

In addition, according to the decision of the government, from October 1, 2022, the Pension Fund will pay the assigned subsidies and benefits.. And from December 1, he will also appoint subsidies and benefits.
